Last year the inaugural Advocate Research Forum 2010 was held and was a huge success, with over 900 attendees, and 140 posters summarizing scholarly works including case reports, case series, quality, safety, clinical trials, and population studies. We in the Department of Research are proud of the accomplishments of the Investigators for their insight and quest for knowledge. We also thank the Hospitals, Departments, Programs and all Advocate physicians, nurses and associates that directly or indirectly support the amazing research endeavors within Advocate. As we continue to focus on research we serve our patients by not only practicing Evidence Based Medicine, but creating it.
In continuing the recognition of these endeavors The Department of Research is proud to announce The Advocate Research Forum 2011. The forum will continue as an opportunity for all Advocate affiliated physicians, nurses and associates to present the research that they have conducted over the last year, as well as share ideas for future research projects. Akin to last year, it will be a collegial setting where sharing and discussion occurs within and between a host of disciplines.
