ACLS Instruction
|

PURPOSE:
|
|
To ensure that residents are trained in Advance Cardiac Life Support.
|
|
POLICY:
|
|
All residents will receive training in ACLS prior to the beginning of the residency program and as required thereafter.
|
Procedure
- All residency program directors will obtain from the incoming residents information on their ACLS status.
- All resident that are not certified in ACLS will receive training during the week of Orientation.
- The hospital will provide an annual ACLS renewal course to maintain certification of all residents.
