Drive for Hope was a huge success

Advocate Hope Children's Hospital raised nearly $400,000 via Drive for Hope, a series of one-of-a-kind events held in collaboration with Porsche Club of America, Porsche Cars North America and Porsche AG. Proceeds from the following events will be used to help cover the $2 million cost of converting office space into patient rooms, which will enable the hospital to care for an estimated 600 more children a year.

Show and Shine: Porsche Charity Car Show
On June 13, in the largest Porsche procession in Illinois more than 70 Porsche paraded through the streets of Oak Lawn. They ended at Hope Children's Hospital, where pediatric patients and their families got an up-close and personal look at racecars, antiques and new-model Porsches. View photos.

Porsche Sport Drive Event
More than 100 Hope Children's Hospital donors, sponsors and physicians got behind the wheels of brand new Porsches at the July 2 Porsche Sport Drive Event at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet. Guests were given an unrivaled opportunity to pilot new 2010 Porsche models and learn driving techniques from Porsche Sport Driving School instructors in a challenging but well-controlled environment. Drive for Hope Reception
Advocate Hope Children's Hospital hosted a special reception on the first day of Porsche Parade 2010, a weeklong convention of Porsche owners. Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet, blues entertainment and the exciting opportunity to meet and mingle with Advocate and Porsche VIPs including Hans Peter Porsche, heir to the Porsche brand. Porsche Parade 2010 Welcome Party
Hope Children's Hospital supporters joined Porsche enthusiasts for Kids, Planes and Cars. The July 3 event included a silent auction and live auction. We also raffled off a 2011 Porsche Cayenne, and we are excited to announce that Dr. Bill Adair, a physician at Advocate Christ Medical Center and Hope Children's Hospital, was the lucky winner!
