2013 Professional Development Workshops
“10 Steps for Developing High Quality, Outcome Based Programs” Presented by Jana Hirschtick, Epidemiologist, Sinai Urban Health Institute Friday, March 22, 2013 9 to 11 am Registration code: 6X30
Program description: Designing and implementing community interventions with limited resources is challenging. Program evaluation is often considered an additional step that may not be achievable with limited resources. However, meaningful evaluation is necessary in order to discern program effectiveness. Jana Hirschtick, MPH, an epidemiologist at the Sinai Urban Health Institute, will walk you through 10 steps for developing high-quality, outcome-based programs, with a focus on incorporating program evaluation throughout the planning process. It will address the many challenges in program development, including building an evaluation plan that meets the organization’s needs, is aligned with staff capacity, and is attractive to funders. This workshop will be both didactic and interactive, so you are invited to come prepared with lots of questions for discussion.
To register for any of these workshops, please call Advocate Health Care HealthAdvisor at 1.800.3.ADVOCATE (1.800.323.8622) and mention the related registration code that can be found listed next to each workshop.
