Good Shepherd Hospital receives honors for clinical excellence

HealthGrades®, the nation's leading hospital healthcare rating organization, recognized Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital with several clinical excellence distinctions for its cardiovascular program.

For the second year in a row, Good Shepherd's cardiac care center received the 2008 HealthGrades Cardiac Care Excellence Award™ and ranked among the top five percent in the nation for Overall Cardiac Service. The cardiovascular program also ranked in the top five percent in the nation for cardiology services and coronary international procedures, and received a five-star rating for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.

Earlier this year, HealthGrades awarded Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital its 2007 Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence. The award places Good Shepherd in the top five percent among the nation's non-federal hospitals in terms of quality outcomes for its patients.
