Good Shepherd Gala a huge success
Many thanks to all who came out to support Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital at the September 8 signature gala: "Shaken Not Stirred." More than 550 guests enjoyed a fun-filled night that featured music from the band Afrodisiacs, live and silent auctions, and, for the first time ever, a wine auction, in which committee members and friends donated bottles from their private collections.
As part of the James Bond theme, guests had the opportunity to take a picture in front of an Aston Maarten—the type of car featured in the Casino Royale Bond film—as well as mingle with "goldfinger girls"—women painted and adorned in gold.
The gala raised nearly $350,000 in support of the hospital's Cancer Care Center. It is through events like this that we are able to help support a top-ranked hospital in our community. Charitable funds provide the hospital with the resources to continue its mission.
Thank you! Good Shepherd Hospital will continue to advance the hospital's capabilities and the quality of the patient experience in battling cancer.
