Parents of Advocate Hope Children's Hospital patients may soon have a comfortable, supportive and inexpensive place to call their home away from home. Hope and Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI) are partnering to bring a residence for families of children receiving medical treatment near the hospital.

The house will serve as a temporary residence where families can sleep in their own room, prepare meals, and eat in a dedicated dining area. At a time of great stress and concern for their child, families can relax in a comfortable living space and find support from other families in similar situations.

But in order to complete this project, set to break ground by the end of the year, an effort is underway to raise philanthropic support. Because Advocate Health Care is committed to philanthropy and absorbs all administrative costs, 100 percent of every gift directly benefits the new guest house.
