Ribbon cut, doors open in new Outpatient Diagnostic Center
The new Outpatient Diagnostic Center is open for business. The center houses nearly all outpatient testing facilities in a welcoming, spa-inspired atmosphere.
The latest technology now located in suite 100 of the Medical Office Center includes:
- Open MRI
- PET/64-slice CT scanner
- Outpatient cardiology ultrasound procedure room
- Nuclear medicine camera
- Digital radiography unit (x-ray)
Several events celebrated the opening of the new center. Associates got the first look at the facility to learn about its benefits. Then the community was invited to an open house to see all they can now expect in one convenient location. Nearly 150 people toured the facility, receiving free health screenings, chair massages and refreshments.
“The majority of outpatient screenings will now be conducted at the Outpatient Diagnostic Center,” said Mark Steffen, BSIE, MBA, director of Diagnostic Imaging. “We’re technically advanced in a warm, friendly setting. We’ll handle more appointments and patients will experience shorter wait times. And we have one of the most advanced 64-slice CT scanners in the city, allowing for the latest in heart scanning and vascular testing on the North Side. It’s the whole package, both for associates and the patients we serve.”
In addition, the new suite focuses on privacy for the patient, providing private transformation rooms directly off testing areas in which they may change into gowns and relax, as necessary.
