New Cardiovascular Services at Trinity Hospital
In order to continue providing exceptional care and services to our patients and to meet the growing needs of our community, Trinity is advancing its cardiovascular services. Expanding these services will make it possible to provide minimally invasive diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for cardiovascular disease.
Centered on interventional cardiology, the new program features non-surgical procedures for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. With the addition of an arrhythmia treatment program patients with rapid, slow, or irregular heartbeats or with congestive heart failure will receive life-saving, specialized pacemakers.
With the support of our generous donors, the following programs will be added to Trinity's services:
A Vascular Center
The new Vascular Center will move Trinity to the next phase of care for peripheral vascular disease—the narrowing of blood vessels outside of the heart and brain that can lead to amputations, heart attacks, or strokes. The Center will house state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and minimally invasive treatment options.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac rehabilitation—for patients who have experience a cardiac event—will be updated to include the latest exercise equipment and an advanced telemetry monitoring system to track patient symptoms and progress. Educational resources will help patients live a healthy lifestyle and avoid future cardiac incidents.
Echocardiology (diagnostics)
To enhance cardiac service offerings, Trinity is adding the most up-to-date, non-invasive cardiac diagnostic equipment. This new equipment looks directly into the heart, using sound waves to track its condition. By injecting medicine into the heart, doctors can see how the valves and chambers are functioning. This allows for a more sophisticated and rapid diagnosis.
