1) Why is my hospital changing its name?
Our name has changed, but our services remain the same. We believe the integration of Advocate Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn and Advocate Lutheran General Children's Hospital in Park Ridge as Advocate Children's Hospital will strengthen the continuity of pediatric services and capabilities throughout the metropolitan Chicago area and Illinois. Advocate Children's Hospital is ranked among the nation's top 50 children's hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
2) How will Advocate Children's Hospital serve kids and families?
The integration of Advocate's two flagship children's hospitals into the largest provider of pediatric services in the Chicago area means families will have greater access to the wide range of health care services for their children. We are committed to offering the highest level of care for our patients and families.
3) Where will the Advocate Children's Hospital be located?
For your convenience, we will continue to deliver high-quality, family-centered care to the children and families from two campuses in the Chicago metropolitan region — Oak Lawn in the southwest and Park Ridge in the northwest. Families in the region will have greater access to more health care options, more specialty and subspecialty pediatric services — in locations convenient to them.
4) What services will be offered as part of Advocate Children's Hospital?
Through an integrated approach across our pediatric enterprise, we will be able to expand the breadth and depth of our programs and services. Our patients and families now will have access to some 400 pediatricians and 230 pediatric subspecialists as well as our advanced Level IIIc perinatal center and Level III neonatal intensive care unit. We understand the parents' important role in caring for their sick children. That's why families from around the country entrust the care of their little ones to us as the largest network provider of children's health care in Illinois.
