Evaluation and Diagnosis Patients undergo a thorough neurological (sleep) evaluation to determine the proper sleep study needed. The initial sleep evaluation can take place at one of four convenient locations: Advocate Lutheran General Hospital's Sleep Disorder Center (Park Ridge), Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, and Nesset Pavilion (Park Ridge). An evaluation may include an overnight sleep study or a series of monitored daytime naps. Sleep studies are conducted in a comfortable private room at one of our two convenient sleep disorder centers locations in Park Ridge or Arlington Heights. The room is specially equipped to monitor sleep patterns, breathing, brain waves, heart activity, and eye and muscle movements throughout the night. Information gathered during the study is evaluated by our physicians and team of specially trained professionals. They then diagnose your sleep disorder and develop an individualized treatment plan. A full report is also sent to the referring physician. Treatment Options
