Our Philosophy of Care
The Center for Complementary Medicine uses a team approach with a heavy focus on communication and coordination with your physician to help maximize the benefits of our therapies.
The Center for Complementary Medicine is part of Advocate Medical Group a multi-specialty medical group of more than 180 physicians affiliated with Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
Team Approach
The Center offers a unique team approach which combines the best of traditional and alternative medicines. All alternative therapies are conducted under the direction of a board-certified physician.

Accessing Care

An initial visit with one of our board-certified physicians is highly recommended for individuals new to our services, or for those who do not have a personal physician. However, you are always welcome to make an appointment directly with one of our practitioners.
Communication
Communication is the foundation of a successful partnership between patients and health care providers. We encourage you to let your personal physician know you are receiving alternative medical care.
Coordinated Care
We maintain communication with your personal physician, creating a partnership between traditional and alternative medicine. Our practitioners share their findings and treatment plan with your physician to ensure you receive the most coordinated care possible.

The Center has convenient daytime and evening hours. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you must cancel an appointment.
Payment for Services
Many alternative medicine services are not currently covered by traditional health insurance. However, if your health insurance plan does cover alternative medicine services, we will provide you with a detailed statement of services which you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Payment will be requested at time of service. For more information, please speak with a member of our staff.
