Advanced Technology
- Bethany’s Special Care Unit beds are all equipped with eICU®, Advocate Health Care’s innovative electronic monitoring technology. The eICU® does not replace bedside care; rather, it provides an “extra set of eyes” when checking vital signs or assisting bedside teams when decisions need to be made quickly…even in the middle of the night. The eICU® is staffed by intensivists, nurses and health assistants at Advocate Health Care who assist in monitoring ICU patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Community Commitment
- Bethany offers mammography, asthma education, Congregational Health programs, Adopt-a-School programs, and other services to the community through partnerships with local health care providers, including Stroger Hospital, Mt. Sinai Hospital, Access Community Health Network, and others.
- Advocate Health Care has made plans to establish the Advocate Bethany Community Health Fund, which would provide financial support for
community-based efforts to improve the health of people in the Hospital’s West Side community. The Fund - which would offer annual grants to congregations, community organizations, clinics and others - will move forward once state approval is granted for Advocate to proceed with other aspects of its overall plans for extending, enhancing and supporting Bethany's health ministry on Chicago's west side.
