What are the visiting hours and guidelines?
Visitation Hours
Certain hours are reserved for you to visit your loved ones in our facility. You are welcomed to visit during the following days & times:
7 days a week
Inpatient Unit 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Special Care Unit 8 a.m – 1 p.m 3 – 8 p.m.
No more than (4) visitors are allowed in a patient room at any given time. This allows our health care team to serve your loved one more efficiently.
Children must be under the supervision of an adult at all times. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed on the patient units. Please make necessary arrangements, as we do not offer sitting services.
What are the amenities and conveniences such as an ATM, cafeteria, gift shop and overnight stay?
Family Lounge
The main Family Waiting Area is located on the first floor of our facility near the main entrance. Take advantage of the comfortable chairs, large screen television, a soothing waterfall display, and reading materials. Patient visitors may wait here or in the designated family lounge near the patient care units. Food and beverages are not allowed.
Dining
Visitors may purchase food in the cafeteria located on the ground level during the following days & times:
Monday through Friday
7 – 10 a.m.
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
5 – 6 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Vending machines are available near the cafeteria seating area.
Gift Shop
Our Gift Shop offers a large selection of patient gift items including greeting cards, jewelry, fresh flowers, and personal items. Daily newspapers are also available for purchase. The Gift Shop is open Monday through Saturday. Please see Gift Shop for store hours.
Online Flower Shop
Advocate Online Flower Shop can create and deliver unique, fresh or artificial, floral arrangements, as well as blooming and green plants to hospital patients and Advocate associates. Orders may be placed online 7 days a week, 24 hours a day but are reviewed and processed only during the retail shop's normal business hours. The retail shop, located at Lutheran General Hospital, is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Our shop is closed on Sundays and major holidays. Where do I park?
Parking
Visitors may park in the parking lot located directly in front of the hospital’s main entrance. There are designated, reserved spaces for visitor parking. Parking rates apply depending on the length of visit. Discounted parking validation is offered to patients during discharge.
