Salary

The current salary scale is as follows:

PGY 1	$37,000
PGY 2	$39,000
PGY 3	$41,000
PGY 4	$43,000
PGY 5	$45,000
PGY 6	$47,000

There is an annual reassessment of salaries

Benefits

Among the benefits provided MGH Residents are the following:

• three weeks vacation for PGY 1 residents increasing to four weeks for higher levels each year
• health and dental insurance for the resident and dependents

In addition, the MGH residency provides uniforms and reimbursement for meals while on-call. Housing is available at some of the hospitals, or residents may make their own arrangements.
