For non-work-related injury and illness, Advocate offers a Disability Management program. Our Disability Council works with the employee and physician to facilitate a safe return to work. We conduct medical reviews, determine appropriate time off, maintain contact with all care providers and provide restricted duty modification and Americans with Disabilities Act consultation services.
DOT Compliance
Advocate Occupational Health specialists monitor changes in the Department of Transportation regulations, so we can advise you of the latest regulations and recommend necessary changes. Our DOT program can provide the basics, such as DOT physicals, NIDA/SAMSHA drug screening and breath alcohol screening. We also can fully manage your random drug and alcohol screening process. Our driver consortium is a cost-effective service that offers random selections, drug and alcohol testing and complete record keeping.

Comprehensive Injury Care
Advocate Occupational Health provides around-the-clock medical coverage for the treatment of work-related injuries. We work with you to keep employees active in the workplace during the recovery process and return employees to full duty as soon as physically able. We provide continuous communication to employers. Advocate Occupational Health is a preferred provider with many workers compensation insurance companies.
Post-offer physicals
We assist you in the hiring process by performing job-specific physicals. This service helps determine the applicant's ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Physicals can include audiograms, respirator clearance, vision screening, lifting screens and x-rays.

OSHA-Mandated Screenings
Advocate Occupational Health assists you in your effort to meet the requirements set by the government. We monitor pending and enacted regulations and can inform you of the screenings required for your employees. Our staff can assist with scheduling and performing the various medical procedures. Some screenings can be performed by our staff at your company.
Substance abuse screening
Advocate performs for-cause and post-injury screening. We use strict chain of custody collection procedures and utilize a government certified laboratory for testing.
