All research involving human subjects taking place at an AHC site of care or conducted by an AHC affiliated researcher, employee or associate, including but not limited to inpatient and outpatient care, that in any way involves AHC patients or associates, must be reviewed and approved by the AHC Institutional Review Board.
The policy of review and approval of human subject research also applies to AHC associates conducting research on behalf of AHC at sites outside the AHC system, its components and affiliates. Individuals not affiliated with AHC proposing studies using AHC patients, associates or facilities must also abide by these policies and procedures.
