learn more about Advocate Center for Pediatric Research

At the Advocate Children's Hospitals, our goal is to provide the best, evidence-based care for all children. To do that, we are actively involved in clinical research to better understand, treat, or prevent childhood illnesses or conditions. Clinical research is vital to the advancement of health care. Our clinicians (physicians, nurses, and others) are actively involved in research and clinical trials.

The majority of the research occursat the two Advocate Children's Hospitals:

The Center also provides support to other Advocate sites that are interested or involved in pediatric research.

Pediatric clinical trials and other research are currently underway in many areas:

  • Cardiology
  • Critical Care
  • Cystic Fibrosis/Pulmonology
  • Gastroenterology
  • General Pediatrics
  • Infectious Disease
  • Neonatology
  • Neurology
  • Nursing
  • Oncology

These research activities, combined with the latest technology and expertise, allow us to provide children with access to the latest treatments and medications, alternatives to standard therapies, and additional choices for care. This research is coordinated through our central office dedicated to supporting research involving children, the Advocate Center for Pediatric Research.
