Our commitment shows where it matters most.
From partnering with local businesses to providing the services that mean so much to the community, we're a hospital that is simply doing more to make more of a difference. Not surprising when you consider that Advocate South Suburban Hospital is first and foremost a community hospital. It means we work closely with our patients and with each other. And more than anything, it means we're committed to helping our neighbors lead better lives.
How we're giving back.
- Our Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) team holds "Taste of Advocate South Suburban Hospital" to teach CHF patients, family, and friends healthy eating habits and food preparation techniques.
- In December 2002, associates led a supply drive to help the students and teachers of Hazel Crest School District 152 1/2.
- We raised over $6,000 during last year's American Heart Walk.
- We partnered with Prairie Hills School District 144 to develop a school-based outreach program to bring health education to students, parents, and teachers.
Some of the best home values in Chicagoland.
One of the many remarkable qualities of Hazel Crest.
The village was originally founded in 1870 and gained its name from the abundant hazelnut bushes that once grew there. Today Hazel Crest offers tree-lined streets, good schools, and well-maintained homes that range from $60,000 to over $300,000. Hazel Crest is rich in resources, plentiful parks-over 100 acres of dedicated open land-and a Park District that offers every activity you would expect from a family-focused community. If you're looking for a suburban lifestyle that is still an affordable lifestyle, you're going to like it here.
