Lifeline program

Life is unpredictable. For older adults living or spending a lot of time on their own, an unexpected fall or medical emergency can threaten their future well-being if help is delayed.

Advocate Home Health Services is proud to offer Lifeline, an easy-to-use personal response service that ensures that older adults living at home get quick assistance whenever it is needed - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Service is Simple to Use

When help is needed, the older adult can press the waterproof Personal Help Button that is worn as a pendant or wristband. Within seconds, a certified Lifeline monitor responds and establishes two-way voice communication. The monitor assesses the situation and summons appropriate help, whether it is a neighbor, relative or ambulance. These Lifeline monitors are extensively trained and have instant access via computer to the client's pertinent health history and personal profile. The monitor even follows up to ensure that help did in fact arrive.

Lifeline is not just for medical emergencies. The service also allows the user to:

  • answer the telephone, without have to risk a fall by rushing to grab the handset
  • maintain peace of mind, knowing that help is just the press of a button away
  • enjoy a stronger sense of well-being, independence and confidence
