Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal recently named Laurie Round, RN, BSN, MS, of Orland Park, Ill., as Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Executive.
In this position, Round will serve as a member of the executive team and will monitor all aspects of clinical, operational and financial performance of nursing operations, as well as patient satisfaction.
A member of the Advocate family, Round comes to BroMenn from Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Ill., where she served as Director of Critical Care, IV Team and Dialysis since 2009. Round previously served as Manager of Clinical Operations, Emergency Department and Trauma Center as well as Assistant Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Ill.
She also served as Director, Medical Surgical Nursing, Pediatrics, IV Team and Dialysis at St. Francis Hospital and Health Center, Blue Island, Ill., and as Clinical Manager, Surgical Services at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, Hinsdale, Ill.
Round earned her Master of Science in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill., and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Psychology from Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, Ill.
