Advocate BroMenn Honored with Fourth 'Consumer Choice' Award
For the fourth consecutive year, National Research Corporation (NRC) recently named Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal as one of its 2012/2013 Consumer Choice Award winners for being the "Most Preferred Hospital for Overall Quality and Image" in this region.
NRC annually provides Consumer Choice Awards for the most-preferred hospitals in over 300 U.S. Markets. Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company’s Ticker® survey.
“We’re very honored to receive this award again this year,” said BroMenn president Colleen Kannaday. “We strive every day to provide exceptional care for our patients, and it’s gratifying to see that our efforts are recognized and appreciated by the people in our community.”
BroMenn is one of only seven hospitals in Illinois to receive the honor.
Of the 3,200 hospitals named by consumers in the study, the winning facilities rank highest in their Core Based Statistical Areas (CBSAs), as defined by the US Census Bureau. The NRC study surveyed over 250,000 households, representing over 450,000 consumers in the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia.
NRC's study is the nation's largest and most comprehensive study of its kind. No other study used to measure hospital performance and consumer preferences contains more responses than NRC's study.
