New VP of Mission & Spiritual Care Named for Advocate BroMenn Medical Center & Advocate Eureka Hospital
NORMAL/EUREKA, ILL. - The Rev. Dr. Karrie Ann Oertli of Oklahoma City, Okla., was recently named vice president of mission and spiritual care for Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal and Advocate Eureka Hospital in Eureka.
Oertli is responsible for overseeing the integration of Advocate Health Care's mission, value and philosophy into the BroMenn/Eureka Hospital culture. She also has oversight of all aspects of spiritual care for both hospitals, including Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), ethics, delegate church relations, and parish nursing.
Oertli most recently served as Director and Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) Supervisor for the Department of Pastoral Care at INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City. Prior to that, she served as Assistant Director and Pastoral Educator with INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, as well as Chaplain for INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center and Baylor University Medical Center and Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Oertli earned her Doctor of Ministry from Drew University in Madison, N.J., and her Master of Divinity in Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She also holds a Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Composition and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Oertli is a Certified ACPE Supervisor and a Board Certified Chaplain. She was ordained by Western Hills Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, and is endorsed by The Alliance of Baptists.
