Our program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
The Center for Physical Rehabilitation at Advocate Christ Medical Center is a nationally accredited physical therapy and rehabilitation program that combines exercise and education to help patients recover from trauma, address chronic conditions and improve their quality of life.
Personalized Care Physical and rehabilitation therapists use their understanding of body movement and function to treat patients suffering from injury, disability or disease. Patients benefit from the full range of inpatient and outpatient therapeutic services.
Inpatient rehabilitation therapy begins as soon as possible during a patient's recovery to prevent additional issues. Once initial functional training is complete, therapists evaluate speech, muscle strength and balance control. Christ Medical Center's reputation as a tertiary care center translates to seamless transitions from inpatient to outpatient therapy at skilled nursing facilities, home therapy services and outpatient facilities conveniently located throughout the Southland. Outpatient physical therapy services help patients with orthopedic injuries and those continuing the recovery process regain as much functionality as possible.
Whether they are performed bedside or at one of our many state-of-the-art outpatient facilities, our personalized treatment plans are designed to help reduce pain, improve strength, prevent re-injury and promote quality of life.
