Bladder cancer is more common in men than women. The chance of a man getting bladder cancer is 1 in 27, while a woman's chance is 1 in 85.

Can bladder cancer be detected early?
Screening for bladder cancer is not recommended for people who are not considered high risk. People may be screened for bladder cancer if they have had bladder cancer, bladder defects or prolonged exposure to chemicals.
