An important member of each patient’s treatment team is their referring physician and/or dialysis center. We maintain constant communication to keep them updated on patients’ progress throughout the transplantation process.
Education is essential to preparing patients for transplant and ensuring long-term health. Advocate Christ Medical Center offers monthly open houses where patients learn everything they need to know about kidney transplantation. Our transplant staff answers patient questions and addresses any concerns they may have. Patients and their families can also participate in educational events in one-on-one meetings and groups sessions.
