Physicians at Christ Medical Center represent the first team in the United States to implant a HeartMate II® ventricular assist device (VAD), offering another option to advanced stage heart patients who do not respond to conventional therapy. We also feature the first team in Illinois to perform robotic mitral valve repair surgery.
