Physical and occupational therapists, athletic trainers and other support staff work with patients to recovery quickly from injury or after surgery.
What treatments and technologies are available?
Our commitment to advancing orthopedic care translates to some of the most current technologies and access to research that is changing how we treat patients.
Computer-Assisted Navigation: Using GPS-like navigation technology, surgeons can perform hip, knee and lower extremity reconstruction surgeries with a high level of precision, reducing the risk for additional surgeries in the future.
Microsurgical Techniques: Microdiscectomies to treat patients with severe back pain and microsurgical reattachment of amputated limbs are just two of the techniques available.
Arthroscopic Techniques: Our surgeons are leading experts in these minimally invasive procedures. We were the first facility in Chicago to offer arthroscopic cartilage repair for patients with meniscus tears.
Resurfacing Techniques: Used on the hip and shoulder, these techniques preserve tissue and result in future complications. We perform nearly 50 resurfacing operations each year.
Cartilage regeneration: One of the newest frontiers in sports medicine and joint reconstruction, this advancement is changing the prognosis for patients with severe joint conditions. Our specialists are actively involved in further improving patient outcomes with clinical studies in this area.
