The Adult Day Services program at the Condell Day Center was established for families who require all-day care and supervision for older adults living at home and needing assistance with the activities of daily living. Designed specifically for those who are ambulatory, functional in a group setting and under a physician's care, the program offers a safe, comfortable, friendly and supervised environment for health, wellness and recovery. In many cases, the Adult Day Services program is less costly than in-home care and therapies. Outpatient services, such as lab tests and X-ray services are reimbursed by insurance and Medicare.

Adult Day Services at the Condell Day Center are available from 6:30 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Each person's needs are identified upon enrollment by an individualized assessment, as well as from information provided by families or caregivers and physicians.

From sharing a storybook to planting a garden, "grandmas and grandpas" in the Adult Day Services program and the youngsters in the Day Center's adjacent Child Day Care program participate in a wide range of activities that offer unequalled benefits of intergenerational interaction to both groups.

Caregiver's Support Group

Families take on a great responsibility when an adult becomes incapacitated from surgery, trauma or chronic disease. Caregiver burnout is a common occurrence. The Condell Day Center is happy to offer support to those who have taken on these commitments, be they spouses or adult children and grandchildren. On the fourth Tuesday of the month, a discussion or special informational lecture is offered for caregiving family members. Please call (847) 990-5817 to confirm attendance.
