Libertyville, IL -Kathy Lapacek has been named vice president of Business Development at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, effective September 14, 2009.

Lapacek will lead growth initiatives including strategic planning, physician relations and marketing. She comes to Advocate Condell from Advocate Good Shepherd, Barrington, where she also served as the vice president of Business Development. During her tenure at Advocate Good Shepherd, Lapacek oversaw  significant growth in market share, directed the planning and development of off-site facilities and the launch of a successful major marketing campaign for the hospital.

Lapacek has been with Advocate Health Care since 2000 where she advanced from planning manager for business development at Advocate's corporate location in Oakbrook.  She received a bachelor of liberal arts degree with concentration in market research from DePaul University, Chicago.
