 Back in 1992, Condell Medical Center in Libertyville developed the Condell Day Center for Intergenerational Care. The Center's purpose was to serve as a resource for individuals who care for children and adults. Through integrating the activities of our Child Day Care and Adult Day Services programs, the Condell Day Center was awarded the Illinois Governor's Award for Unique Achievement for creating the first intergenerational day program in Illinois to provide daily interaction between adults and children.
Today, the Condell Day Center continues to lead the field in providing an enriching and stimulating environment for children and older adults through developing life skills, gaining independence and forming relationships for children and older adults.
