Advocate's Children's Hospitals have Cystic Fibrosis Centers that are accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Advocate Lutheran General has both a pediatric and adult CF center; Advocate Hope is an affiliate center of Children's Memorial Hospital. The CF Foundation funds and accredits 115 cystic fibrosis care centers nationwide, including 94 adult programs. The high quality of specialized care and research that is available throughout the care center network has directly contributed to the improved survival and quality of life for people with CF. The CF centers within the Advocate system have been very involved in CF clinical research, which has played a critical role in developing new therapies.
