Construction will begin this spring on an 11,800 square-foot addition to Advocate Eureka Hospital that will provide expanded space to Advocate Medical Group's Town & Country Healthcare, a family medicine physician practice.
Town & Country is currently housed in much smaller space within the hospital. The new addition will still be connected to the hospital, but will offer the patients of Town & Country's six physicians 18 exam rooms, two procedure rooms and an expanded waiting area. It will include four nurses' stations, offices for each physician, consulting space, and a separate outside entrance so patients will no longer have to go through the hospital's main entrance to get to their doctor appointment.
The expansion is expected to be completed in 2011.
Town & Country contains the practices of Dr. Christopher Hughes, Dr. Phillip Jansen, Dr. Steven Jones, Dr. David Miller and Dr. Mark Mroczko, as well as nurse practitioner Tina Schaffer. They specialize in family practice, geriatrics and occupational medicine.
Town & Country Healthcare is located at 105 S. Major Street in Eureka. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, and Saturday 8 am - noon. To make an appointment, call 309.467.4691.
