Eighty five physicians on the medical staff at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital were included on the list of Top Doctors by U.S.News & World Report. These physicians span 40 specialty areas and were selected based on a peer nomination process. The U.S. News Top Doctors list was created in collaboration with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., publisher of America's Top Doctors and other consumer health guides, drawing from Castle Connolly's database of peer-recommended physicians.
U.S. News Top Doctors is a free searchable directory available at www.usnews.com/top-doctors that lists nearly 30,000 peer-nominated physicians across the country. The list builds on the 22nd annual Best Hospitals rankings released last week.
Castle Connolly assembled the roster of Top Doctors by soliciting nominations from physicians in academic medical centers, specialty hospitals, regional hospitals and physician practices. Its research team then reviewed each nominee's training, achievements and appointments, among other credentials.
