Health fair offers life-saving screenings and CPR education
Downers Grove- Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital will host a health education fair which will include health screenings as well as a presentation and demonstration of hands only CPR.
Screenings will be held from 7:30 – 9 am and include free blood pressure, BMI and osteoporosis screenings. For all who register by Oct. 31, free blood testing including CBS, lipid panel and complete metabolic panel will also be included. Thyroid, PSA (for men over 55), and HbA1c testing can also be performed for $10. At 9 am, Dr. Vemuri Murthy, founder and chair of Project SMILE, will present “hands only CPR” and offer a demonstration of the appropriate techniques.
