Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is the most revolutionary imaging technology today. It is designed to diagnose soft tissue pathology and provides the opportunity to diagnose many neurological diseases (disorders), which have been a challenge in years' past. Clearly, this technology has allowed physicians the opportunity for early detection and treatment of the brain and spine. During the past decade, its technology has been advanced to include specific small tissue diagnoses within bone and spine joints in addition, its current advancements also assists us in early detection and correlation to breast tissue abnormalities.
Our MRI department is staffed with board-certified radiologists and technologists with extensive experience. Each year, the department peforms more than 6,500 procedures.
If you currently or previously have had an implant, stent, filter or other medical device placed inside your body, you must seek approval from the MRI department staff to ensure safety. For information about MRI safety, visit www.mrisafety.com.
