The Level 1 Trauma Center is dedicated in the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Current research projects being investigated include:

• Necessity of routine pelvic radiographs in blunt trauma
• Methods of chest tube placement
• Evaluation of cervical spine injury in the comatose patient
• Prophylactic antibiotic use in patients with chest tubes
• Development of neuropsychological screening tool
• Rotational Bed Study in the critically ill
