High-Risk Services
Level III
Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital's Level III designation for obstetric, perinatal and neonatal services allows us to care for high-risk mothers and critically ill or premature babies.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Our Level III services include the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), designed to promote a delicate balance of gentle nurturing with advanced medical care and technology. From sensitive acoustics to developmentally appropriate lighting, the NICU creates a state-of-the-art healing environment for babies.
Special Care Team
Our Level III services also include a special care team of perinatologists, neonatologists, critical care nurses and, if necessary, pediatric subspecialists who work together with the obstetricians or pediatrician to care for mother and baby.
Maternal-Fetal Diagnostic Center
Perinatologists in our Maternal-Fetal Diagnostic Center are specialists in maternal and fetal health who focus on high-risk mothers and babies before, during and immediately following childbirth.
