Vascular Doppler

Vascular Doppler uses ultrasound technology to measure blood flow in the body’s veins and arteries, allowing diagnosis of narrowing or occluded blood flow in primary vessels such as the internal carotid arteries. The ability to do this assists physicians to medically treat patients in spite or in conjunction to other medical decisions.

The board-certified technologists on staff at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital perform 16,000 vascular Doppler studies annually. Our vascular Doppler services are fully accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories.
