Q: Do I have to change doctors if I am treated by your program?
No, you will still visit your regular doctor for all your other routine health care needs. With your permission, our specialists will maintain ongoing communication with your doctor and provide progress reports on your condition in regard to your wound treatment only.

Q: Do I need a referral from my doctor to receive treatment?
You do not need a doctor’s referral to begin treatment in our program unless you have an HMO.

Q: Will insurance cover the costs of treatment?
Many health care plans will pay some or all of the cost.  Please check with your insurance company for outpatient and physician coverage allowed with your plan.

Q: Where is the Wound Care Program?
We are located on the campus of Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Illinois.  Valet parking is available.  Contact us if you have special needs or physical needs requiring assistance.
