Catchpenny opened its doors at 118 East Main Street in 1972 and remains in its location today. Known for value-priced goods, Catchpenny continues to thrive and post record sales. The resale shop is the Auxiliary's largest moneymaker.
Catchpenny sells clothing, jewelry and household items. Three open houses are held each year, March, August and November - customers line up around the block hours before the shop opens. In the past 30 years, Catchpenny has raised over $2 million dollars for Good Shepherd Hospital. Catchpenny's staff of more than 75 volunteers work three to six hours a week. Pear Tree Gift Shop
Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital provides family and friends with convenient shopping at the Pear Tree Gift Shop. The store, located off the main lobby, is managed by the Auxiliary of Good Shepherd and offers a variety of gifts and flowers.
Hours:
Monday through Friday: 9 am to 8 pm
Saturday: 10 am to 4 pm
Sunday: 1 pm to 4 pm
We will gladly take your orders by phone for flowers, cards, balloons and other gifts and personally deliver them to a patient's room. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
