This newsletter is a product of the Advocate Committee for Diabetes Clinical Practice and Education. Our council is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of expert diabetes resources from within the Advocate health care system. Our purpose is to lead the development, interpretation, and implementation of quality standards for the management of Diabetes Mellitus. We believe that education is the key to excellence. Our goal is to provide and communicate up to date patient and staff education pertaining to Diabetes Mellitus and related complications with a focus on community awareness and prevention.
