Auxiliary of Good Shepherd Hospital 
118 East Main Street, Barrington, IL 60010 Catchpenny opened its doors at 118 East Main Street in 1972 and remains in its location today. Known for value-priced goods, Catchpenny continues to thrive and post record sales. The resale shop is the Auxiliary’s largest moneymaker. Catchpenny sells clothing, jewelry and household items. Three open houses are held each year, March, August and November — customers line up around the block hours before the shop opens. In the past 30 years, Catchpenny has raised over $2 million dollars for Good Shepherd Hospital. Catchpenny’s staff of more than 75 volunteers work three to six hours a week. Hours: Monday - Friday 9:30am - 5pm A landmark since the hospital’s doors opened in 1979, the Pear Tree Café is located in the lobby of the main entrance. It began serving lunches to Good Shepherd Hospital construction workers even before it’s inaugural year. In 1979, when the hospital doors opened, the Canteen was renamed the Pear Tree Café. During the hospital’s inaugural years, The Café was owned and operated by the hospital until 1985 when the auxiliary took over management and staffing entirely. The Café is famous for its daily specials and famous veggie sandwich. Stop by on your birthday to receive a free sundae!
Hours: 7am - 2pm The Partridge Coffee Shop opened in the lobby of new Outpatient Pavilion in 2001. The Partridge offers gourmet coffees, sandwiches and snacks.
Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital provides family and friends with convenient shopping at the Pear Tree Gift Shop. The store, located off the main lobby, is managed by the Auxiliary of Good Shepherd and offers a variety of gifts and flowers. Hours: We will gladly take your orders by phone for flowers, cards, balloons and other gifts and personally deliver them to a patient's room. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
