The Patient Navigation Program ensures the comprehensive cancer care services offered at Good Shepherd are accessible throughout the patient's entire treatment process. The program is provided at no cost and consists of the following resources:
Our Oncology Nurse Navigator and Breast Health Specialist are available to:
- Provide educational assistance, as well as materials about cancer
- Provide transportation options to and from appointments
- Locate facilites and services closer to the patients' home
- Provide emotional support to the patient and their family
- Attend appointments and procedures with patients
- Provide support group information and outside resources
- Assist in scheduling appointments
