The Center for Cancer Care
The Center for Cancer Care at Good Shepherd Hospital provides care and support for patients and their families close to home when they need it most.
In 2007, the Good Shepherd Center for Cancer care received "Approval with Commendation," following a rigorous on-site performance evaluation by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer (CoC). The center not only met the basic standards of the CoC approvals program, but also excelled in seven areas where Commendation was awarded.
Patients receive care from our team of medical and radiation oncologists, surgeons, nurses, nutritionists, exercise specialists, spiritual counselors and others cancer specialists. Our cancer care team uses highly advanced technology-including robotic assisted surgery with the da Vinci robot-and the latest interventions in radiation oncology to individually tailor treatment plans for each patient.
