Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital offers a number of programs to help you, your partner and family members prepare for your pregnancy and new baby. Childbirth Education Increase your knowledge of the birth process, address your concerns and misconceptions, and learn options for labor and delivery. The program includes a tour of the Birth Center.
Additional Comfort Techniques for Labor For couples interested in learning more detailed information about pain management.
Refresher Childbirth Class Refresh your skills and get up-to-date birthing information. Not recommended for first-time parents-to-be.
VBAC Class Prepares couples who have previously delivered by Cesarean and are now planning for a vaginal birth.

Just for Mom and Baby
Baby Is Here Discuss the adjustments of your new life as a mom with other new mothers. This class should be taken during the first three months with your newborn.
Yoga After Baby Join other moms for stretching, exercise and relaxation while incorporating gentle yoga techniques. Babies are welcome to attend (6 weeks to pre-crawlers). A physician's note is required.
Baby Bistro This free breast feeding support group is held every Monday from 12:30-2 at Good Shepherd Hospital. Registration is not required.
Just for Dads
Training for Dads Dads - gain the confidence and experience to prepare for the game of a lifetime - fatherhood. The class is taught by an experienced dad and certified childbirth educator. |
