The Center for Cancer Care at Good Shepherd Hospital provides care and support for patients and their families close to home when they need it most. In 2007, the center joined the list of the nation’s best cancer centers as ranked by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer (CoC) after having earned its highest cancer care performance rating, “Approval with Commendation,” following a rigorous on-site performance evaluation.
Patients receive care from our team of medical and radiation oncologists, surgeons, nurses, nutritionists, exercise specialists, spiritual counselors and others cancer specialists. Our cancer care team uses highly advanced technology—including robotic assisted surgery with the da Vinci robot—and the latest interventions in radiation oncology to individually tailor treatment plans for each patient.
