Speakers Bureau

As part of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital’s ongoing efforts to educate and empower the community, the hospital Speakers Bureau provides speakers for civic groups and community organizations.

Speakers are available for a range of oncology-related topics, including:

• Breast health
• Cancer
• Cholesterol
• Fitness
• Nutrition
• Smoking cessation
• Stress management
• Women’s health
• Cancer prevention and screenings

Speakers offer presentations appropriate for any group, including cancer support groups, libraries, workplaces, churches and special-interest groups such as runners, biking clubs or senior citizens’ organizations.

Four week advance notice is required to arrange a speaker, and an audience of at least 20 is required for physician speakers. Non-physician health professionals give presentations to groups of fewer than 20.
