A Gift To...The Community/From...Advocate Hope Children's Hospital
Advocate Hope Children's Hospital makes $30,000 check presentation to The Children's Museum in Oak Lawn
Oak Lawn, IL (February 13, 2009) —
WHAT: WHAT: Before the grand opening of ‘The Children’s Museum of Oak Lawn’ in its new location, a special “free sneak peek” and check presentation will be held to highlight the new museum and its long partnership with Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital. “Over the years, Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital has provided several health programs for the museum. HCH was the original sponsor of the Market Place exhibit in the current museum and in 2007, together, we launched “Be Well Wednesdays” to help teach children in the community about the benefits of healthy living,” says Adam Woodworth, executive director, The Children’s Museum. “Since then, the program has grown to include more individualized programming for families in the community."

The $30,000 donation from Hope Children’s Hospital will help the museum purchase a life-size operation exhibit, a heartbeat drum and an interactive display that promotes physical activity while learning about different health careers.

WHO: All community residents and local, state and federal elected officials are invited.

WHEN: Thursday, February 19, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: 5100 Museum Drive, Oak Lawn, Ill. (Corner of 51st and 95th)

PHOTO AND INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITIES:
· Interview with local, state and federal officials in attendance
