Testing and treatment capabilities at Advocate Hope Children's Hospital for infants and children with asthma and allergic disorders include: pulmonary function testing, methacholine challenge, skin testing for aeroallergens, penicillin testing, oral challenges for drugs and food, contact dermatitis, insect venom allergy and allergy to local anesthetic.
Other tests include, CT scan of nasal sinuses and hearing evaluation. Children may be referred to an audiology specialist for further evaluation and coordinated treatment.
